We are pleased to report that the database migration and maintenance for the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk (CHD) have been completed successfully. All systems are now back online and fully functional.

What You Need to Know:
* System Access: The CHD and User Portal are now accessible. If you still see the maintenance page, please refresh your browser or clear your cache.
* Database Update: The database maintenance has been completed successfully.
* Email Processing: Our mail servers have begun processing the queue of inbound emails held during the downtime. Please allow some time for all tickets and replies to appear in your dashboard as the system clears the backlog.

Final Verification
Our engineering team has completed post-maintenance testing to confirm data integrity and system performance. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this extended maintenance window.

Update - Status Update: Maintenance Window Extension

The scheduled database maintenance for the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk (CHD) is taking longer than initially anticipated. Due to the complexity and volume of the database migration required for our advanced search improvements, we are extending the maintenance window by an additional twelve (12) hours until 3:00 AM CDT (08:00 UTC) on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Current Progress & Impact:

* Database Migration: The migration of core data structures is still underway. To ensure total data integrity and system stability, we cannot safely truncate the process or bring the application back online until the new indices are fully established.
* Email Safety: All inbound emails continue to be safely queued. No messages will be lost; they will be processed in the order received once the system is restored.
* System Availability: CHD and the User Portal remain unavailable. Users will continue to see the maintenance page during this extended period.
* Data Integrity: We want to reiterate that all existing ticket data, attachments, and configurations remain secure and unaffected.


We sincerely apologize for this unexpected delay and the disruption to your workflow. Our engineering team is monitoring the migration progress around the clock to bring the service back online as quickly and safely as possible.

Scheduled - Starting at approximately 12:00 AM CDT (05:00 UTC) on Saturday, March 21, 2026, we will perform maintenance on the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk (CHD). We expect the maintenance to last up to fifteen (15) hours, concluding no later than 3:00 PM CDT (20:00 UTC).

We are performing scheduled database maintenance to support upcoming improvements to advanced search. Because these changes affect critical database structures, we require a maintenance window during which the application is temporarily unavailable to safely apply and verify the updates.

While CHD may be inaccessible during this maintenance period, no data will be lost, and inbound emails will be safely queued and processed once maintenance concludes.

* Full application downtime: The entire CHD application and user portal will be unavailable during this period, and a maintenance page will be displayed.
* Email queuing: Inbound emails will not be lost; they will be safely queued while the system is offline.
* Ticket creation: Once the maintenance is complete and the application is back online, all queued emails will be processed. Tickets will be created at that time, and automated notification emails will begin delivering shortly thereafter.
* Data safety: No existing data will be lost during this infrastructure update.
